A Swedish company is promoting microchips that are implanted in a person’s arm to display their vaccination records.

The company Epicenter has released a video that shows what the microchip is for and how it is used in public.

The Daily Wire reported:

A video by the South China Post went viral on Friday for showing microchip technology recently unveiled by Stockholm start-up Epicenter. The company’s “chief disruptor”, Hannes Sjoblad, demonstrated how his product, the size of a grain of rice, has been adapted as a Covid passport that is implanted under the skin in the arm or hand.

Sjoblad said the company developed the technology for other purposes but quickly realized that it could be used as a sort of Covid pass that stores data about vaccination status, which can then be read by any device that uses near field communication protocol (NFC ) used. “Implants are a very versatile technology that can be used for many different things,” he said, adding, “Right now it’s very convenient to always have the Covid Pass on the implant.”
